I thought this was going to be simple.
I really thought this was going to be simple.
Why do I keep thinking things are going to be simple?
I must be an idiot.
Also, ow.

It is roughly at this point in the creature creation process where I’m swearing such colorful sentences that passers-by will stop and stare, as they cannot quite believe that they heard what they think they heard.
Also known as, why must I spend so much time on feet?
;_; No more Triforce pendants?! Oh noooo….
The triangles have already sold out from some of the online retailers I use most often, so… this is truly sad.
And insanely obnoxious. My geeky shinies.

Me right now with this wire wrap bracelet I started. ;;;
I’d ask why we do this to ourselves, but… as far as I understand it, humans as a species have been unable to answer this question.
Before a project: “I wonder what would happen if…”
During a project: “WHAT DO I DO WHAT DO I DO…”
After a project: “Never again.”
The last one is always a lie, of course.
This is just a heads up to any of my followers who live outside the United States and have been considering buying anything from my shop.
The rates for First Class International(which is what I used) will be raising on the 27th of this month. This will essentially double the cost of shipping.
So if there is anything you’ve been eying, consider picking it up now and save a couple dollars on shipping :)
For anyone looking for the exact rate increases, you can find them through this Etsy Blog Post. I know USPS is hurting for money but this still sucks for anyone who sells internationally on Etsy….
I cannot properly express my severe annoyance without very large, blinking, brightly-colored (mostly) four-letter words.
Sorry for the advertisement here but, uh, well. To all my lovely international customers: I’m going to be forced to (in some cases, dramatically) increase my shipping rates next weekend, like every other US-based store. Please feel free to snag anything you’ve been ogling before then for the current shipping rate.
May it be a good one, full of shiny things and awesome people!
Also vice versa.
The last big project of 2012 is also going to be the first big project of 2013. That’s all I can say for now… but boy is it a steep learning curve.
From an earlier conversation: “The kitchen smells like leather and guacamole. Living the dream.”
I have to wonder if this happens to anyone else.
Long, involved projects. The remaining question is, “Why?”
Just a quick little note to let everyone know I’m still breathing. And still working.
I’m really actually taking the day off so my hands recover before I get started on that pixel pendant give-away prize. (You’ll see it when it’s done, of course.) I should have been doing the same thing yesterday, but when I get involved in projects… well. You know how it is.
As for vague hints about said project, the main portions are almost done! Of course, then comes the embellishment. I’ve been playing with certain materials, so I think I’m about ready to dive right in. Obviously that doesn’t mean anything will actually be done soon, but that’s the story of my artistic life.
I hope the rest of you are doing well and enjoying shinies of all kinds! It’s that time of year, you know.
As someone who has been on both sides of the Etsy coin as a seller and a buyer, I wanted to create this little guide with tips for buyers to get the most out of their shopping on Etsy. It’s full of tips that those of us who sell want you to be aware of and consider when you’re shopping with…
READ THIS GUIDE. It’s awesome for both buyers and shop owners.
