Thank you EVERYONE.

So, um.  My three chocobos helped raise more money for Desert Bus for Hope and Child’s Play than I ever could have imagined.  I can’t even fathom this.  I feel like too much of a jerk to ask how much Nadia pulled in, so I’ll just rest assured it was far beyond my expectations.  (And as Schala-Kitty reminded me, William Shatner saw Nadia.  Forgive me my moment of omfg.)

Thank you to everyone who bid and donated.  I’m a huge believer in video games aiding in therapy, both physical and emotional, because I know they still help me through bad times and “body stupid” (my general term for porphyria-related symptoms and annoyances).  I am absolutely certain these chocobos are going to good homes to make people happy, and you have no idea how happy that makes me.  One’s even going to another craft-alonger!  This is awesome!

Thank you to Tally, who subtly hinted that I will make more chocobos for people.  Thank you to Kelly who gave me the title “master chocobo breeder” (I WILL NEVER FORGET).  Thank you to everyone at Desert Bus who cuddled Nadia.  Thank you again to everyone who bid and donated toward all things, most especially the chocobos.  Thank you to everyone.  EVERYONE.

I’m proud to have been a small part of so much awesome.  I’m astonished that my crafts got to be amongst so many amazingly fun and gorgeous handmade things.  I’m proud to have helped that Desert Bus lifetime achievement of one million dollars and then some.

Rest assured, there’s always next year.  Please look forward to it.  In celebration, my next long, insane project will be chocobo-related.  No, it’s not a life-sized chocobo.  I’m not ready for that.

Yet.

And if anyone else would like a chocobo… I’m always open for commissions.

Now please go check out the incredible Chell collage made by the talented and awesome Schala-Kitty!  You have less than 8 hours to claim a one of a kind, handmade piece of Portal 2 art.
