So after a bunch of other things, I finally got back to finishing this project: little “bunny doll”-inspired hand-beaded panels, made into keychains. But these can certainly double as pendants, if you’d rather. I’d recommend the sleek, simple 18”-20” adjustable black rubber cord with silver lobster clasp for simplicity, myself, but that’s up to the potential buyer/s.
The bunny doll, tiger doll, “darkness bunny” doll and H-01/black tiger doll keychains (or pendants!) are available at my Etsy shop. Please do hit the “read more” for product details and individual pictures.

Evalis, while still being considered a rather young and technically “immature” Decce, acts as Guardian of the South Sea Temple. His desire to protect the temple is out of gratitude to the servants for raising him after having found him seemingly abandoned as a hatchling. He’s well-suited to the lifestyle, as far as he’s concerned, spending most of his time enjoying the sea breeze, watching over the temple servants and enjoying whatever gifts of food the devoted bring for him. (He likes cherries, clearly.)
Plenty more info on his gallery page over at my web site. And he does just happen to be available to a good home.
So this is one of the things I’d worked on in my relative “internet silence” - a beaded patch-style pin for my girlfriend, for our first anniversary. (Go check out the Colossus sigil suncatcher she made me!) It’s based on a certain plot-important pin to be found in the Tiger & Bunny anime, though a bit changed due to the style I was going for. Go figure, some things don’t necessarily translate well to larger, irregular beads.
Despite being irritated with the way the green and blue beads are treated by the camera, I’m surprisingly happy that the crazy idea managed to work. I mean, enough. Considering it’s my first time trying something like this, I think it turned out.
Of course, I already have ideas of what to do with this technique in the future…
Pillars of the Triforce. No matter how long it is lost or hidden, there are always those who keep the memory of the Triforce.
Wanted to try a little something different, for I am an idiot. Of course this turned out far more complicated than I’d hoped and for strengthening purposes I had to backtrack a bit more than I’d planned—but it worked! Love those green breads. Too bad they keep climbing in price. Gah.
As for the name, well… the gold connections looked like pillars. I know, what a special significance! And, you know, 9 pillars, 3 pieces of the Triforce, 3 x 3… It made sense in my mind, somehow.
(It’s also currently for sale.)
How do you wish your girlfriend and fellow action figure collector a Happy Valentine’s Day? Make toys for her toys, of course. These tiny plushies are needle felted and relatively poseable, with super-fancy (and sometimes maddening) merino wool, even.
(I’m still finding pink fibers everywhere…)

Lady Abigail (or just Abby to her friends) is still a little new at this. Oh, she knows how to march, knows every whistle and command, can walk in step or run ahead and around. It’s the whole armor thing that she has yet to get used to. Her handler thought it might be a good idea to get her started with something custom-made, something unique and personal. Hey, even chocobos like to feel special.
I implore everyone to visit my web site gallery for the rest of her pictures and a super-extended description. In the meantime, she happens to be looking for a good home.
So if you were wondering why I’ve been so quiet lately… yeah.
Since Tumblr has more or less made it impossible for me to respond to everyone who was kind enough to comment, I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who liked, reblogged and commented. I finished this project before I left for a vacation (which was much needed for my poor hands) and came back to see reblogs and notes and THANK YOU I AM SO GRATEFUL.
Abby’s particularly grateful, too. I bet you didn’t know chocobos could blush.

My finished Megaman shadowbox I made for my brother’s birthday!
It was my first time trying to recreate a piece “pixel for pixel” and I’m really happy with how it turned out. I set up the sprite of Megaman in the first part of Wiley’s Stage in Megaman 1 in Photoshop and then converted everything to vectors for cutting. (Of course, I picked up the sprite and background over at Spriters Resource.) I used matte colored cardstock for Megaman and pearlized for the background to give a more “metallic” feel.
Once I got the different pieces glued together I used special foam tape to add depth to the piece, making layers have a bit of distance from each other. I really like the way it does cast shadows and adds a new dimension to things. If I was to do a similar piece, I would probably want even more layers. *laughs*
There has been much geeky busy-ness, it seems!

Happily, now all of the first (and last..?) batch of muse dragon hatchlings have found homes. Perhaps some day I’ll wander across a few more. I do hope so.
