Nienne is a jewel dragon who loves night life in the city.  Or rather, he enjoys hanging around city parks and observing all of the interesting people who pass by at night.  His very favorite things are fireworks in the summer, but he doesn’t mind a little stargazing with is people watching.  If you happen to be out for a stroll on a nice evening, and particularly if you have some peanuts to spare, he may just pay you a visit.

(You can find more info and bigger images over at Nienne’s gallery page.  He also happens to be for sale.)

PRODUCT ANNOUNCEMENT TIME

I assume that most of you know I swear by Swarovski crystal products.  Sparkly to the extreme and whatnot.  But sadly it appears as though they’ve already discontinued a few things that I happen to use quite often: the triangle crystals for my Triforce pendants, and the uber-sparkly catches I use for my Wild Tiger and Barnaby Brooks Jr. call bracelets.

At this moment, I managed to snag a few of these things on sale.  I currently have quite a few bracelet clasps, so no worries there yet (and I’m sure I’ll find something suiting even after they disappear from the market entirely).  Regardless, if you want to snag a single-sided or double-sided call bracelet as I’ve been making them, please do so soon.

But as for the triangles.  Oh those lovely triangles.  I wanted my followers to know that I currently have enough for two (2) Triforce pendants.  After that, I can’t guarantee that I will find these again, and certainly not be able to offer them at the current price.  (The listing is for the gold-plated “glittering gold” variety, but I can still do a “solid gold” pendant as well.  Yes, that will cost considerably more.  Ugh, gold prices.)

Got these sent out this morning.  It can be really nice to have commissions break up the completely insane random lengthy projects I seem to fall into.
(And if you’re interested, you can always order your own rupee earrings here.)

Pillars of the Triforce.  No matter how long it is lost or hidden, there are always those who keep the memory of the Triforce.

Wanted to try a little something different, for I am an idiot.  Of course this turned out far more complicated than I’d hoped and for strengthening purposes I had to backtrack a bit more than I’d planned—but it worked!  Love those green breads.  Too bad they keep climbing in price.  Gah.

As for the name, well… the gold connections looked like pillars.  I know, what a special significance!  And, you know, 9 pillars, 3 pieces of the Triforce, 3 x 3…  It made sense in my mind, somehow.

(It’s also currently for sale.)

Beadwoven snake bracelets.  2013 is a Year of the Snake, and I just wanted to do something a little simpler.  Almost subtle, even!  But only almost.  I mean, I’m still me.

(They’re currently all available for sale: Milk Snake, Rattle Snake, and Green Tree Python.)

Lady Abigail (or just Abby to her friends) is still a little new at this.  Oh, she knows how to march, knows every whistle and command, can walk in step or run ahead and around.  It’s the whole armor thing that she has yet to get used to.  Her handler thought it might be a good idea to get her started with something custom-made, something unique and personal.  Hey, even chocobos like to feel special.

I implore everyone to visit my web site gallery for the rest of her pictures and a super-extended description.  In the meantime, she happens to be looking for a good home.

So if you were wondering why I’ve been so quiet lately… yeah.

Since Tumblr has more or less made it impossible for me to respond to everyone who was kind enough to comment, I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who liked, reblogged and commented.  I finished this project before I left for a vacation (which was much needed for my poor hands) and came back to see reblogs and notes and THANK YOU I AM SO GRATEFUL.

Abby’s particularly grateful, too.  I bet you didn’t know chocobos could blush.

A guide to holiday shopping on Etsy

As someone who has been on both sides of the Etsy coin as a seller and a buyer, I wanted to create this little guide with tips for buyers to get the most out of their shopping on Etsy. It’s full of tips that those of us who sell want you to be aware of and consider when you’re shopping with…

READ THIS GUIDE.  It’s awesome for both buyers and shop owners.
